That Hideous Man has reminded me of a morning that I spent with the Fish Wife around Loch Leven last year, we climbed the same hill, and took similar photos (merged in to this panorama). It is truly beautiful - and more or less on our doorstep.
There's also a nice farm shop sort of place at the northern end of the loch, for food etc.
How much we take for granted!

lovely! i've missed your sharings such as this.
Thanks Lucy.
I've been a bit distracted/busy/unbothered by my blog, but hopefully I'll be posting (and commenting) more regularly again.
I agree with Lucy, and am glad to know that you'll be about a bit more. :)
lovely photo! :)
(makes me homesick...go figure....but I have to admit, Lucy's stomping grounds up north (the Puget Sound area of Washington State), also made me feel that way) :)
Lovely - how did you 'stitch' the pictures together? Did youneed to use a tripod ore something to get the originals lined up?
Thanks for the nice comments.
Hideous - a smarter photographer than me would use a tripod. I trusted to hand-held, and ended up having to sacrifice some of the top and bottom due to irregular heights!
The stitching was easy in Photoshop Elements (6 for Mac), it even smoothed out the different exposures in the shots. Again, smarter photographers would probably fix the exposure as they took the shots.
But I'm happy enough to point, click and accept the consequences!
