The blessings of location

We enjoyed a walk up Moncrieffe Hill today (practising for Dolly D's Duke of Edinburgh's Award expedition). It was a wonderful May day - warm sunshine, the vitality of spring all around us, and time spent together. Although it helped to highlight how out of shape I am, it also made me realise how good my life is in so many ways. Living in this part of the world fills me with joy and thankfulness.

And as you read this, spare a prayer for the people of Burma, who are not so fortunate at this time.

You're right, Mrs Hideous was expressing similar thoughts as we ate our tea this evening, watching the sun setting behind the hills.

Moncreiffe Hill is another wonderful place - we went back there last month for the first time since we had kids. Gorgeous views - and wonderful colours.

Beee-yewww-teee-fuuuull! Looks very similar to my neck o' the woods here in northeastern Oklahoma, or as we call it "Green Country." God is so creative!

Having lived in Perth all my life, we only "discovered" MH last year. Absolutely beautiful. Must take a walk up there again soon.
